Comment :
Husain Shah attempted to expand the Jaunpur Sultanate, often clashing with the Lodi dynasty. His campaigns initially saw success, and he posed a significant challenge to the Delhi Sultanate, even advancing close to Delhi. However, his ambitions ultimately led to a series of wars with Bahlul Lodi, the founder of the Lodi dynasty, which weakened the Jaunpur Sultanate. In 1479, Bahlul Lodi decisively defeated Husain Shah, annexing Jaunpur and bringing the Sultanate under the control of the Delhi Sultanate.
