Hindu Shahi Dynasty
The Hindu Shahi Dynasty (c. 850 CE – c. 1021 CE) was a dynasty that ruled parts of northwest India, specifically the region of Kabul and Gandhara (modern-day Afghanistan and Pakistan). The dynasty is notable for being one of the last independent Hindu kingdoms in the region before the Islamic invasions and the establishment of Muslim rule in the subcontinent. The Hindu Shahi rulers played an important role in defending their territories against early Islamic incursions.
