Paramaras Of Vidarbha
The Paramaras of Vidarbha were a branch of the Paramara dynasty, which is best known for its rule over Malwa in central India. The Vidarbha branch established itself in the eastern Deccan region, primarily in the Vidarbha area (modern-day eastern Maharashtra), during the medieval period. This branch likely emerged as a result of the Paramaras’ territorial expansions or fragmentation.
Jagga Deva is recognized as one of the notable rulers of the Paramara dynasty, His reign occurred during a time when the Paramaras were facing challenges from neighboring powers such as the Chalukyas of Kalyani, the Kalachuris of Tripuri, and the Delhi Sultanate.
