Comment :
Maharaja Rajinder Singh of Patiala State (r. 1876–1900) was one of the most dynamic rulers of the princely states in colonial India. He was an enlightened ruler, known for modernizing Patiala State by promoting education, infrastructure, and social reforms. An avid sportsman, he is often credited with popularizing cricket in India and established the Patiala Cricket Team, which became famous in the subcontinent. He was a loyal ally of the British during the colonial period, which allowed him relative autonomy in the administration of his state. About Uncirculated grade, Scarce.
