Comment:
Alauddin used a new title to describe himself – Sikandar al-Thani (The Second Alexander), probably commemorating his conquests that subdued most of peninsular India. This billon coin type had a Nagari legend on reverse, to establish his royal legitimacy over his Hindu subjects.
