Comment :
The early and most easterly coins of this series are best known from the ghazipur hoard. This consisted of about 2000 coins and was found at saidpur in ghazipur district about 1991. Saidpur is on the bank of Ganges just east of where the river Gomati enters the Ganges. A smaller hoard was found more recently at shahadpur, nearer to Jaunpur. Jaunpur is higher up the river Gomati. These have been several coin finds in jaunpur district mostly 40 Manas and lighter.
